Here are a few other apps i like to use in my classroom
Kahoot and Quizizz are two of my favorites. I know they have been around for a while but the kids still can't get enough. Kahoot can get a little loud in the classroom because after each question it shows the students' scores and their place in the game. Quizizz seems to be a little quieter since the students move at their own pace. They answer the questions individually and at the end it shows them what place they were in the game.
Brain Works is a great app for students who have sensory needs. When the app is opened the student can rate their sensory level and it gives the student a list of sensory breaks they can use to help regulate them. The teacher can add and delete breaks that are available to the student. The teacher also sets a time limit for the break so once the student decides, a timer automatically starts for them.
Spelling City is a website/app that my students use to practice their weekly spelling tests. After they choose their spelling list they can pick a game to play to practice their spelling words.
Tellagami is an app I like to use for quick reviews over key concepts. The students can create an avatar and then type a script for the avatar or record a voice message for them. Then they can share their avatar and message with other students.
The Popplet app is one I like to use when students need a graphic organizer. It could be used for a writing assignment or a test review. You can add words and pictures very easily. These graphic organizers can also be printed.
